9 daily habits that will correct psychological health

November 28, 2017

Every person at certain moments of his life experiences problems with mental health and feels depressed.  There are everyday habits, which will be the first steps to overcome the unpleasant state.  It has been proven by scientists that these habits help to keep the mind healthy and give a sense of happiness.  The good news is also that these habits are easy to inject into your life.

1. Walk with your head held high
The study showed that a high-raised head and shoulders, as well as a flat back,  will help to feel good mood.  If you go slouching, then you are more likely to focus on the negative, not the positive.

2. Stop photographing everything
You can think that the moments of photographing make you more likely to remember them, but the study published in Psychological Science assumes otherwise.  If you still want to "snap" your lunch or view from the social networking window, make sure that you focus on your life, not on other people's assessments.

3. Train
According to a study conducted by the University College of London, training three times a week reduces the risk of depression by 19 percent.  Researchers found that active people are less prone to depression, and people with depression are less likely to be active.

4. Stop postponing "for later"
The longer you put off the task or work, the more it makes you nervous.  Relieve stress by listening to music or doing exercises, and then solve the problem.

5. Get out of the toxic relationship
Staying in a relationship with someone who constantly humiliates you can greatly affect your self-esteem and, ultimately, make you anxious and potentially depressed.  Listen to the concerns of your friends and relatives about your partner, if they exist, then you should think about

such offensive relationships.

6. Sleep more
Your body can not function properly if you are not sleeping enough.

7. Leave time for yourself
Breaking up between friends, family, and work, and also trying to make everyone happy, you can forget about yourself. Leave yourself some time to be alone and do something for yourself, as this helps to avoid worrying and depression.

8. Relax from gadgets
Smartphones, tablets, and laptops can affect our brains, and if you never rest from them, you will not be healthy.  Take a mini-detox every week, even for half a day or a couple of hours.

9. Get out of multitasking mode
Eating lunch while sending emails may not seem too dangerous, but as it turned out, multitasking makes us tenser.  Instead, focus on what you are doing and what is going on around you.
